Posh Boys, Voice session with Lynn, 28th April 2017 (check this date)
Myself and Harry after the talk with Lynn as a full group went off and discussed certain words that would sound different and compared the with a posh guy. We recorded our discussion. (I just need the recording off Harry)
Tuesday, 9th May 2017, filmed Man of the Moment:
- We hit a few problems but not only solved them, some of the solutions were better than the original.
- Battery kept going flat
- Noise from other people
- Forgot a couple of lines
- Stopped to charge from laptop – did it on phone, results good. Very clear and picked up audio well. Camera had made it look blue. So an unlucky thing turned to a lucky one.
- Couldn’t solve it – wanted till it was more quiet – background noise made it more informal – more like a VoxPop.
- We could re-shoot no problem. We both forgot on occasion.
- Upload final film, I also recorded behind the scenes piece.
THIS NEEDS CHECKING NOT DISTINCTION, BUT I DON’T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO WRITE.
Posh boy’s rehearsal with Erica, Thursday, 11th May 2017.
How did Erica help, don’t sit with arms crossed they own their space. (Recorded discussion with Erica, voice memo) I had trouble with certain words. How has this made me feel more prepared for tomorrows stumble run.
18th Posh Rehearsal with Erica in preparation for the following days dress run.
19th Full dress run
Writing up today’s rehearsal.
1 – What happened? What did you do? Did it go according to plan.
2 – What things were added/changed, by whom and why?
3 – How did this affect what you had rehearsed previously (if at all)
4 – What do you need to do next?
5 – What skills did you need to excercise or remember?
6 – Do you need to bring anything to make this work (costume or prop? Music?)
7 – What else can you ask yourself in order to really tick some of the commission boxes?
22 May – Talking to Terrorists discussion
TIPS OF THE DAY Be sure that you are linking back the dress, tech and both performances to the earlier plans as you write. Research goes right up to the last moments – even if you changed a costume item or some choreography at the very last minute say WHY and how (if) that helped to realise the earlier plans and ideas. Make sure you are always cross-referencing what actully happened with what the intention was.
REMEMBER TO SHOW IDEAS AS BOTH CONTENT AND FORM – (ie both WHAT you did and HOW you did it)
Remember the pre-show and the discussion about that complex relationship between the audience and the performers – you cast them into a role and have to insist that they take it on!
